About HolyHODL

What it is

HolyHODL is satire. It is a joke temple, "The Temple of the Long Hold", for people who own crypto. A visitor picks a coin, writes a short wish about it (usually about its price) and lights a candle. The wish is either revealed on the Wall of Wishes or folded into the altar, in which case only its coin is shown.

Is crypto required?

No. Making a wish is free and a wish is treated the same whether or not anyone donates. If a visitor wants to, they can leave a small voluntary donation to the address shown for the chosen coin. Donations are gifts, are non-refundable, and buy nothing: no luck, no outcome, no favors. Donation addresses exist for Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano and Litecoin; any other coin can still be wished on.

What it is not

HolyHODL is not a religion, a financial service, an exchange, a game of chance or a prediction service, and nothing on it is financial advice. Wishes do not influence the price of any asset.

Moderation

Wishes must be about crypto and may not contain links. Revealed wishes that look suspicious may be held back until the operator reviews them, and inappropriate wishes are deleted.
